Country Style USA - Dolores Dinning - Lonesome Road The first change in personnel for the Dinning Sisters occurred in 1946 when Lou left to get married and also started a solo career. Still with CAPITOL Records, her singles were issued over the next ten years, some of them back-to-back with Don Robertson, famed as the writer (and in one case whistler) of his hits like "Born To Be With You", "Pl...

On Country Style USA , Ferlin as Simon Crum parodies Sixteen Tons by Tennessee Ernie, More And More by Webb Pierce, You And Me by Kitty Wells and Red Foley. In 1955, Husky had a solo hit with "I Feel Better All Over (More Than Anywheres Else)"/"Little Tom", and developed "Simon Crum" as a comic alter ego. As Crum, Husky signed a separate contract with Capitol Records and began releasing records...

The Cyrkle's B sides and album cuts are great. The Minx soundtrack album is actually great, too (not so much the movie). Murray the K, the famous NY DJ of the 60's and 70's had to be the inspiration for this song about Murray the Why! It's so sad that Brian Epstein died when he did, and that rock n' roll went metal and away from these great harmonies. Cyrkle was actually quite early in the psychedelic music movement, too. Great musicians and songwriters. They really deserve to not be forgotten.
Better to have no captions than to read the misheard words presented here. Person who did this might, hopefully, be doing something different these days
I adore Ferlin. I'm sorry that I never got to meet him.❤
Never understood what happened to Joan O'Brien. She was very pretty, a good singer and a passable actress who co starred with Presley, Grant, and Wayne. In fact, she was in the first Columbo with Bert Freed as Columbo. She ended up being a hotel executive. She must not have liked show biz.
Tv girl💙💗

This show was rerun on TV for decades, so there’s a chunk of old people like me who have this song permanently in our memories.
Hahaha thiscwas good!!!❤
Always a great singer both in Cajun and English ! Love his music; grew up to both. ❤❤❤
I believe this is one of her first recording, she was very popular in Indonesia during 1950-1970 and came to Indonesia in mid 1980’s luckily enough I was there and watched her in person.Thank you for sharing this video.
Terrible

I remember seeing this on TV. Great to see it again ! BTW, I'm 85)
😊
They don't make music like this today!
This song was in my head all last night for some reason after not thinking about it for maybe 40 years. So glad to find it on here and realize I did not imagine it.
My grandfather used to sing this song to me he loves Jimmy Durante he was a captain of artillery under Patton! Imagine him singing this song as he pulled the wire on the 88
sweet personality and voice.."....sweeter than wine" NM
Why the Colonel did not put Elvis on shows like this blows my mind. Colonel did everything in his power to stifle E's creativity.
very sad song but I love it
What a great personality. Jimmy Durante will never be forgotten.
When I was a teenager in the 90s, I wasn't quite like the other teens...I had a crush on Donald O'Conner! 😅 Thanks to my aunt and family who introduced me to musicals, Singing in the Rain was my favorite movie, and his charm (and gorgeous blue eyes) won me over. This is so sweet and fun to see, thank you!
My dad used to say this at bedtime whenever we were with him. Miss you, dad ❤
I love this song!
❤❤
Every time my granpappy hears this he climbs onto the table and starts twerking
Osie was anazing!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ThankYou4Sharing!!! ❤ 🕊 MuchLove
We can't bring back those days.
One of the great ones by our neighbor Jimmy C Newman, when he was younger. You don't hear that kind of singing today. He was a gentleman too boot. We miss him so much. 😢 ❤❤
Guy's brothers were the sax section. They even breathed together, playing with one sound ! Louis Armstong took his band one night to hear Guy's group in NY. He said "That's how smooth I want you to sound" !
Esta orquesta casi olvidada, fue una de las mejores de los años 50 si no me equivoco, valdría la pena escuchar alguna version de alguien que conozca un poco mas de esta orquesta de lujo que solo los millonarios podían contratar.
So nice ! 👍
Beautiful music, beautiful era.
the original!
I was born and raised in Tucumcari
Carl's song's sound so real it tends to break your heart in real life.
Wish there was COMPLETE episode of this which also included the segment "Kids Say the Darndest Things"!
My parents used to watch and dance to Guy Lombardo every New Year's Eve!🎵🎶🍾🥂❤❤🎉
Why everyone connect Guy Lombardo with New Year's Eve?
Hi! What song is it?
